Notice that the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment proposes to establish Maximum Allowable Dose Levels for methanol of 47,000 micrograms per day for inhalation and 23,000 micrograms per day for ingestion by amending Section 25805(b).
Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking proposing Maximum Allowable Dose Levels (MADLs) for the chemical methanol.
OEHHA has determined that methanol meets the criteria for listing under Title 27, Cal. Code of Regs., section 25306, based on the findings of the National Toxicology Program’s Center for Evaluation of Risks to Human Reproduction (NTP-CERHR, 2003).
Proposal to establish a Maximum Allowable Dose Levels for methanol of 47,000 micrograms per day for inhalation and 23,000 micrograms per day for ingestion. Concurrently, an interpretive guideline for methanol resulting from pectin that occurs naturally in fruits and vegetables is being published.
Announcement of a public workshop on February 14, 2013, concerning OEHHA’s intent to list styrene as a chemical known to cause cancer under the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986.
