Notice of intent to list chemicals: Methazole and tributyltin methacrylate.

OEHHA will not proceed at this time with the Proposition 65 listing process for genistein.  For identification of reproductive toxicity (developmental toxicity endpoint) under Proposition 65 it is considered necessary that the evidence for developmental toxicity has resulted entirely or predominantly from prenatal exposure.  That is not the case for genistein.

OEHHA has prepared the draft hazard identification documents for fenbutatin oxide and quizalofop-ethyl and announces the availability of the draft documents entitled, "Evidence on the Developmental and Reproductive Toxicity of Fenbutatin Oxide," and "Evidence on the Developmental and Reproductive Toxicity of Quizalofop-Ethyl" for public comment.

Public meeting on Thursday, October 7, 1999 of OEHHA's Cancer Identification Committee on criteria for identifying chemicals for listing as "Known To The State To Cause Cancer", consideration of chemicals known to cause cancer, and consideration of chemicals, listed via the Authoritative Bodies mechanism, for removal from the list.

On October 7, 1999,  the OEHHA Science Advisory Board's Carcinogen Identification Committee will consider the authoritative bodies’ reviews and the carcinogenicity evidence for allyl chloride, chlorodibromomethane, 1,1-dichloroethane, p-toluidine, and zineb and make a recommendation regarding whether these chemicals should continue to be included on the Proposition 65 list.

These regulatory amendments clarify the qualifications for appointment to the Carcinogen Identification Committee and Developmental and Reproductive Toxicant Identification Committee, and remove redundant language regarding required financial disclosures.

Section 25302(b)(2)(i) of the regulation has been amended to identify several sub-specialties of research experience that are particularly relevant.
