OEHHA is requesting information as to whether S,S,S-tributyl phosphorotrithioate meets the criteria for listing via the Authoritative Bodies mechanism.

OEHHA is adding titanium dioxide (airborne, unbound particles of respirable size) to the list of chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer for purposes of the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (Proposition 65).

A Maximum Allowable Dose Level (MADL) for chromium (hexavalent compounds) was established.  The amendment will become effective July 29, 2011.

This rulemaking action clarifies the original intent of the regulation and allows for the most current and appropriate methodology to be applied to quantitative risk assessment.  This amendment also provides default age-specific bodyweights to be used in calculation of the maximum allowable dose level. The amendment is effective on April 16, 2011. 

The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) proposes to amend Title 27, California Code of Regulations sections 25801 and 25803.

September 2010 proposed amendments to Sections 25801 and 25803 of the California Code of Regulations, Title 27. These regulations set out the procedures and criteria for determining an exposure level where there would be no observable effect.

OEHHA announces the withdrawal of its regulatory proposal for possible amendments to Sections 25801, 25803 and 25805 of the Proposition 65 implementing regulations. These sections establish the procedures for calculating “safe harbor” levels for chemicals listed under Proposition 65.
